New Hampshire Medicaid Services

  • Home Care for Children with Severe Disabilities (HC-CSD), commonly known as the Katie Beckett option: Administered in partnership with the Division of Family Assistance (DFA) for severely disabled children up to age 19 whose medical disability qualify for institutional care but are cared for at home.
  • Home and Community Based Care for Acquired Brain Disorders (HCBC-ABD), managed by the Bureau of Developmental Services (BDS), these services are available to individuals with traumatic brain injuries or neurological disorders, after age 22, who chose to remain in community settings in lieu of nursing home care.
  • Home and Community Based Care for Developmentally Disabled (HCBC-DD), managed by BDS, these services are available to individuals with developmental disabilities or brain injuries prior to age 22 and their families who chose to remain in community settings in lieu of nursing home care.
  • Home and Community Based Care ~ Choices for Independence (HCBC-CFI), managed by the Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services (BEAS), these services provide options to eligible individuals who chose to remain in community settings in lieu of nursing home care.
