New Hampshire Medicaid Services

  • Home Care for Children with Severe Disabilities (HC-CSD), commonly known as the Katie Beckett option: Administered in partnership with the Division of Family Assistance (DFA) for severely disabled children up to age 19 whose medical disability qualify for institutional care but are cared for at home.
  • Home and Community Based Care for Acquired Brain Disorders (HCBC-ABD), managed by the Bureau of Developmental Services (BDS), these services are available to individuals with traumatic brain injuries or neurological disorders who chose to remain in community settings in lieu of institutionalization.
  • Home and Community Based Care for Developmentally Disabled (HCBC-DD), managed by BDS, these services are available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families who chose to remain in community settings in lieu of institutionalization. Developmental disability determinations for eligibility for services are made with BDS.
  • Home and Community Based Care for the Elderly and Chronically Ill (HCBC-ECI), managed by the Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services (BEAS), these services provide options to eligible individuals who chose to remain in community settings in lieu of nursing home care.
