BRAIN INJURY ASSOCIATION OF NEW HAMPSHIRE TO
HOLD DAY-LONG EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE.
 
On May 12, 2004, the Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire will host its 21st Annual Brain Injury and Stroke Conference at the Courtyard Marriott and Grappone Conference Center in Concord. The conference will feature workshops of interest to brain injury survivors, their families and professionals in related fields. Lunch is included in the price, $55 for family members and survivors and $105 for professionals. Professionals will receive contact hours from professional associations for attendance.
 
The Keynote Speaker for this conference is Dr. Tom McAllister, Professor of Psychiatry and Director of Neuropsychiatry at Dartmouth Medical School and the New Hampshire Hospital. Dr. McAllister will present the workshop 'Mild Traumatic Brain Injury: Why Don't They Believe Me?. Other topics include sexuality after injury, driving after injury, innovative stroke treatments and legal rights. Sponsors include Abramson Brown and Dugan Attorneys, Crotched Mountain Rehab Center, NH Department of Developmental Services, the Krempels Foundation, Robin Hill Farm and Rose Meadow Farm.
 
The mission of the Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire is to create a better future through brain injury prevention, education and advocacy. The goal of the Brain Injury Association is to prevent those injuries that can be, and to lessen the severity of those brain injuries that may be unavoidable.
