Coma score is computed by adding one score from each category (eye + motor + verbal = total score). The total score will be between 3 and 15. Ask your child's doctor or nurse to explain this scale and whether it has been used to evaluate your child's condition. Scores may vary at different times in your child's recovery. Different people using the scale may not always get the same score. It is a general guide for coma. It is not a precise measurement system.
