  • 60 minutes – Awakening – Discusses minimal conscious states of brain injury
  • Inside Aphasia – documentary about aphasia
  • Coma, WGBH Educational Foundation. 1997. Story of a 9 year old boy who received a brain injury as a result of an accident. Dr. Jam Ghajar reviews a new technique that relieves fluid and pressure around the brain with the use of a drainage tube which dramatically cuts back on the amount of brain damage the boy sustains.
  • Drug Abuse and the Brain, Explains the effects that drugs have on the brain. Reviews addictions and the physical and behavioral changes that can occur.
  • Head Injury Education Program, Iowa Head Injury Association. 1992. Reviews what happens to children after a brain injury. Explains coma, shows assistive technology devices, reviews drugs that can be used, and talks about the emotions of parents who go through the experience of having a child with a brain injury.
  • The Brain, Films for the Humanities and Sciences, 1995. This program highlights the importance of the brain and utilizes a combination of techniques including CT, MRI and surgical techniques to explore what is known about how the brain works.

  • Battered Brains, Hilltop Productions, Inc. 1999. William Winslade narrates this video and talks about his recently published book entitled "Confronting Traumatic Brain Injury". Winslade describes the devasting effects a brain injury can have on an individual as well as how an injury like this can affect whole families.
