Disability Legislative Tracker Bulletin April 2008
New Hampshire State Legislation
The 2007 – 2008 Legislative Season is upon us and the Brain Injury Public Policy Committee continues to meet regularly to discuss public policy and/or legislation that will impact individuals with brain injury and their families. Grassroots participation is what strengthens our democratic process and the truth is that YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Your involvement can be through making a telephone call, sending an e-mail or writing a letter to your local legislator on a particular piece of legislation. If your time permits, attend the hearing and/or provide testimony in Concord on the legislation that is proposed. Your input is valued by legislators and one of their many responsibilities is to listen to their constituents.

Amy Messer, Legal Director from the Disabilities Rights Center, has accepted the position of Public Policy Chair and she would like to extend an invitation to interested individuals to join our committee. Please contact Ellen Edgerly at 332-9891 or e-mail for additional information.

If you would like additional information on bills being sponsored this year, please visit the New Hampshire General Court Site. Although we are not sponsoring any bills this session, there are quite a few bills that we are supporting and/or monitoring. .
